How do I get the EyeToy to work better?

The EyeToy's motion detection relies on light. For the best results, point it at a white background and wear dark colours, or vice-versa. Areas of mixed colours can confuse it into picking up motion where there is none, so try to avoid this. You may also find it useful to wear multicoloured clothing so it doesn't fail to pick up your movement within your own outline. On most games it's also possible to alter the sensitivity of the camera, this setting is usually found in the configuration options.

How much space do I need to play these games?

Dance mats vary, but are usually around a metre squared each. For EyeToy games you may need to clear a little more space and to ensure that there are no obstacles overhead as well as underfoot.

Are there any EyeToy games for consoles other than the PS2?

Not yet. The EyeToy was developed by Sony, who also make the Playstation 2, so it doesn't seem likely that they will develop a peripheral to work on rival consoles. However, the popularity of the EyeToy means that camera games and peripherals are likely to be developed for other platforms in the near future.
